You’re so complicated!

Watches can have many other features besides simply telling the time in hours, minutes and seconds. These features are called complications. The mechanics of a watch are already complex for such a small device. But to make it more…complicated, watchmakers will add numerous other functions into a timepiece.

Here’s are a few complications that Orient offers on many of their watches:

Automatic (self-winding), Day of Week Display, Date Display, Power Reserve, Alarm, and Tachymeter.

So, what’s your favorite complication?

Orient Men's Colossus has an alarm and date display, two examples of complications.

I have to admit that I am a sucker for analogue day and 24 hour dials, as displayed on the ET0K002W (Cosmos)! What a great looking watch, whichever color you choose.

Tachymeter feature is so awesome. I wish more companies offered such a fine product.

I like power reserve function on many watches.

It does sort of suck when your automatic stops working because you forgot about the power reserve. A reminder on a watch is nice.

Worldtime is definitely the best, automatic is the only way to go now

I love that’s it’s self-winding. I can feel a mechanism moving on my hand. The watch is like a living being; it keeps me company, especially when I feel how something shifts inside it!

Automatic watches are my favorite! Never need to replace battery :D

I love the Power Reserve. Day/Date is great though.
