Watch Care for the Sporty Man or Woman

September 29th, 2011 | 2 Comments

Once again we have a few helpful tips for your everyday simple watch care.

Are you in to golfing or play tennis?  If the watch you wear while participating in these sports is automatic or manual winding, you might want to consider taking it off before you play.  The impact from your swings could jar the movement.  Not to mention that a direct hit to the watch could be damaging.

Do you work up a sweat when you’re working out?  If so, try to dry your watch off as soon as possible following heavy perspiration.  Remember, sweat contains salt, which is corrosive to metals.

When was the last time you serviced your watch?  Experts say to get it serviced every three to seven years.  Mainly because the watch oil will dry out and the parts that were originally oiled will wear out from lack of oil.

Remember these tips to keep you and your watch functioning in tip-top shape.
