This model has a rather unique appearance from other Orient watch models. Its hour hand, for instance, is a broader shape, which creates a funky contrast with the thinner minute hand.

The blue and blue bezel look sleek, while the stainless steel bracelet fits comfortable around the wrist. And since it is an automatic watch, the CER1A002D is powered by the motion of your wrist, not batteries.

The date is magnified for easy reading. The dial is also easily legible since the hands and hour markers are outlined in silver. The hands and markers are luminous so you can see them at night or underwater.

Yet another example of Orient’s awesome balance of modern and retro styling. I love the chunky hands, markers and arabic numbers. Nice.

oh man. i love the way the orient dolphin looks. i just got a mako a couple of weeks ago, but i can’t convince myself to buy another diver so soon. i am really trying to hold myself back, but they don’t even sell this on the orientwatchusa site.

I like the looks of this watch. It seems alot of the Orient models have a retro flair that I really like. This is another example of a great timeless design!

May I know why can’t I see the entire collection of the CER1A002 series under http://www.orientwatchusa.com/watches.html?

It’s a nice watch. I have a Mako and I like that watch very much. I think both of them have the same caliber, so the same quality. That means it’s a very good watch (the Mako takes +7 to +10 s/24 h, between the day, when I wear it, it runs just +6 s/24h. It’s a appropriate value to a chronometer certified watch.
So, I am convinced that Orient makes very good watches!

Great looking watch. How large is it? I do not see that listed. Thanks!

What’s the size / diameter of this watch?

  10. By David on Jun 25, 2010

Funky (hour hand)? More like functional. It’s a nice classic design used by other dive watches to maintain visibility in darkened (dry or underwater) conditions. I don’t see how the “date is magnified” unless you have a cyclops on the crystal? If it’s underneath, kudos, external cyclops magnifiers are annoying (and disturb a watches great lines). For those that don’t know, incidentally, a domed crystal is stronger and more water resistant than flat crystals. A nice, old-fashioned touch, too. Lastly, a solid link bracelet on an affordable watch is nice — does it have a scuba suit extension link hiding underneath that clasp?

Kudos on a nice modern spin on a classic dive watch design.

The Orient Dolphin is made like a true diver needs to be. 200 m water restistance, automatic movement, chunky hands and easy to read numbers and lots of luminescence. To swim with the dolphins you need a watch like the dolphin.

Nice looking dive watch; different from the ‘Rolex’ clones that are out there in abundance. It is easy to read and is uncluttered from other dive watches. I must get one. Seemper Fi

For those of you who have been inquiring- the dimensions of this watch are 41mm diameter, 14mm thickness.

Also- if you have been unable to view this watch on our site, it is because it is a special model that we do not always have in stock and do not regularly sell from our site.

A divers watch that really stands out. There is something so ‘tried `7 true’ about the bracelet, the case and the dial. This watch exudes confidence and doesn’t try too hard like so many seem to. I knew as soon as I saw it that I will have to add it to my collection.
