The CFM00004W is a fresh take on the racing watch. This design features bold, easy-to-read numerals, bright accents and an overall clean appearance.

Let’s take a closer look at what this watch has to offer.
Racing-inspired
So how does the CFM00004W fit into Orient’s racing category? The racing watches have a sporty feel and many unique car-like designs, yet still create a sleek, fashionable look.
The CFM00004W’s racing-inspired features include: The debate surrounding the usefulness of tachymeters goes on; but either way, they still look pretty cool and also quite racing-inspired.

In-house movement
If you’re new to Orient Watches, you may not know that the company uses 100% in-house movements on all of their mechanical watches. Yes, this includes the CFM00004W.
When you have a watch with an in-house movement, you can be sure that you have a high-quality and long-lasting timepiece created by watchmakers who have a vested interest in their product.
The CFM00004W also has a skeleton case back, so you can actually watch the complexities of Orient’s movement in action.

Other features
40 hour Power Reserve and Indicator
As with all of Orient’s Automatics, the CFM00004W has a Power Reserve of about 40 hours. This is useful if you don’t want to wear your watch every day.
The PR indicator on this watch makes it easy to know when your watch needs recharging. However, if you wear your watch daily, then you don’t have to worry.
Stainless steel case
This watch uses a stainless steel case, which creates excellent protection against dents, cracks or corrosive materials.
Unlike some of the other watches in the CFM0000 collection, the CFM00004W uses a genuine leather band, which is durable and perhaps even offers a more casual take on the CFM0000s.
Water resistance
Orient’s CFM00004W has a water resistance of 100m, so you can safely swim or snorkel without damaging it. If you’re interested in diving, however, I’d look for a dive-specific watch with a water resistance of 200-300m.
