After very extensive research and comparisons of various Swiss Made models, I decided that none of them could compare to the in house made Orient Star and Orient Star line of watches. From their accuarcy, design, beauty, originality, dependability, and that special "it" factor, I decided against buying a generic, multi company stew of Swiss Made parts and purchased an original (and instantly classic) Orient Star Retro. My first Orient has been such a pleasure to wear, keeps spot time, and looks so beautiful that I wish I had never spent the time looking anywhere else but Orient.
I can now say, even on the heels of my second Orient watch arriving, that I'm already planning my third purchase of an Orient watch. No other watch company offers the fully in house design, manufacture, and incredible value, all at the same time. If you want to spend $10,000 dollars on a beautiful Swiss timepiece, than feel free to do so. But if you want the same quality, originality, and dependability for just $200-500, than Orient Watch Company is the ONLY company in the world to buy from.
Take it from a loyal customer, you will love your Orient watch!

Invicta, who knows? I doubt it, they are glitzy mediocre watches at best. I own a couple, bought really cheap. Would not buy another, too much controversy with them.

Living in the historical Taiwan city f Tainan I am fortunate to be very close to a watch retailer who prides in offering excellent service, value and follow-up with their watches.
I was sad to see that they could only offer to send my faithful Submariner to out to Taipei for refurbishment. It has served me well since 1984, but perhaps it is time for replacement.
With a family to care for, my days of 'high-dollar' wrist wear are behind me now.
I think that a suitable ORIENT model may well be what the 'wrist doctor' proscribes.

And maybe I can talk the watch shop into carrying the ORIENT line as well. They are very nice people!

I used to wear a Tag Heuer, then I wore an Omega Seamaster (not the current model but the previous James Bond model) for 9 years, and I'm selling it because the days of buying expensive Swiss watches are now behind me. Well, I'm considering either Seiko or Orient for me now, so far the comments I read about Orient are overwhelmingly positive. :)

Orient watches are under-valued and under-represented in, at least, North America. They are capable to produce high end watches like Rolex, Zenith, IWC etc. But they chose to offer an extremely wide spectrum of products ranging from basic ($100) to luxury ($5000), just like its parent company (Seiko)

I have 3 Orient’s (black Mako, blue Mako and a white dress watch) and I’m expecting delivery of another black M-Force diver in a few days. I have 6 Seiko’s, 2 Omega’s, 2 Doxa’s and 1 Breitling. But I just keep hunting for another Orient. That tells you my love for Orient’s.

Keep it coming….

I have several vintage orients, nice watches. I love automatic orients. Now I´m looking for a new one. As Spam Clam said, it would be nice to win a free watch.
