I have been interested in japanese watches for about 8 years, Seiko mechanical watches from the seventies make up the bulk of my collection. I have 2 Orient watches, a dress diver from the eighties or thereabouts and a big "frankenorient", that get a lot more wrist time than the Seiko's lately, especially now that I have the new Orient Mako XL underway, which I bought second hand but almost new. I am really looking forward to putting that watch on, it combines what I love in japanese watches essentially: focus on detail yet functional design, and a lot of watch for the money.
I'm also just beginning to realise Orient has a lot of beautiful high-end watches out there, that are beginning to push aside my other grails!
All in all, with collection comes refining and Orient is definitely to blame ;-)

Kind regards,
