This Orient has quickly become a watch enthusiast favorite as has its brother, the CEX05003D. With the sleek
design of the dial, the Dome glass, the date indicator, and the power reserve
feature, this watch is a must have.

The 40 hour power reserve indicator allows the owner to check how long the
watch will run before it needs charged. This is great for people who don’t wear
the same watch every day.

The crown comes with the engraved Orient logo and shoulders for protection.

This automatic watch runs on the power stored within the spring of the watch. As
the owner wears the watch, the spring naturally stores power. This watch is also
water-resistant for up to 100 meters.

Bands and clasps are important aspects to a watch as they can provide a nice
feel and should compliment the rest of the watch’s vibrant design. For this
watch, the band is engineered to focus on comfort.

The metal band comes with both matte and finished links. This provides a
two-toned shine to the rest of the watch.

The deployment clasp for this collection adds security so that the
watch does not come off unintentionally.

This looks like a nice watch, but I am trying to hold out for a semi skeleton watch. Do they ever do a DotD on these?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Nice watch. Not sure if it is a good deal though. Happy shopping.

    cool watch. very elegant.

  5. By Eric on Aug 23, 2009

I agree. This watch is a must have… at 50% off. At this discount it’s just a kinda want. It would look so good on a brown leather band too. I would snap this one up at the right discount, but not today.

I do like this watch. It works in casual and dress situations. You certainly can’t beat the value here.

  7. By Matthew on Aug 23, 2009

NIce watch, not so nice discount today.

Nice watch. It looks perfect for Summer.

Is it just me or am I the only one who sees an image of Captain Kangaroo on the signed crown?

  9. By Ryan on Aug 23, 2009

What is the purpose of the pusher? I would assume the date is set with the crown like most watches.

Too bad there’s no watch winder/band kit at this price. Still, a great looking watch. For a watch with a power reserve, this is a sweet price. Also, the pictures are nice in showing the detail this time, thanks!

Clean, simple, classic, I like it! Still a bit too pricey for me (too many recent purchases) but a nice wearable watch all around.

What does the 2 o’clock pusher button does in this movement, as there is no day wheel complication?

Very nice watch. my only caveat about it is the lack of solid end links. But I guess that is expected at this price point.

I have this watch and its a beauty! Nicer in person. The extra button is for easy day set, it has a day wheel that does change each day.
