ORIENT CETAC004B Automatic Watch

October 10th, 2009 | 14 Comments

Throughout the history of watches, there have been many different variations
that follow the line of a classic look. Now, there is a watch that combines both
a classic look with dramatic modern styling to create a masterpiece of our time.
This is the perfect watch for you if you enjoy timeless designs. The textural
surface of the dial (face of the watch) complements the features of the
sub-dials to complete a balanced look. This allows this piece, the CETAC004B, to be worn in any
attire and on almost every occasion. Also, be sure to check out the CETAC001W watch.

This watch’s strengths are the structure and functions of the watch. The case
for this particular line of watches comes in the square construction. Therefore,
the hour indicators cave inwards to give a 3 dimensional aspect.

You will notice the variety of sub-dials such as the 24-hour indicator
(located near the 10 o’clock position) and the day indicator (located near the 2
o’clock position).

This collection also comes with the date indicator (located
at the 6 o’clock position). To adjust the date indicator, you must loosen the
crown (time-setting knob) to the 1st level and rotate the knob. The date
indicator can be adjusted by turning the time hands until the date hand pivots.
Then, you must bring the hour hand back to the 12 o’clock position and rotate it
clockwise until the date hand changes. To adjust the day indicator as well as
the time hands, you must loosen the crown even further to the 2nd level and
rotate the crown.

This site seems to rotate the same ORIENT watch from time to time. However, this time with a greater discount. Good idea….

This watch seems like it would work pretty well for business and casual wear. Straight black and white, nothing too crazy for the office, but enough little details to make it fun.

  4. By Frank In Miami on Jul 16, 2009

This one is cheaper because its got a leather band.

The clasp is nice. I like the shape of the case, but I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about the off-set subwindows.

Come on guys!! 30% again??? Where are the REAL discounts??

I have a version of this watch with the same subdials and date complication, although completely different styling, and I love it! The day of the week is key, but I don’t like the classic 3 o’clock day/date window, so having a subdial for the day and a 6 o’clock window for the date is perfect. If the style of this watch is your thing, it would be hard to imagine a better value.

This is a fun watch…It reminds me of somebody raising one eyebrow with the offset windows. Deployment clasp is always a good idea with leather bands.

Another black face watch. That’s 3 days in a row. Remember, variety is the spice of life… :)

This is an interesting looking watch. It’s not my personal style, though. I agree with RobG about the deployment clasp. I wish all of my leather banded watches had them.

It is a very nice unisex watch by ORIENT. Simple, yet sophisticated. Nice selection.

ORIENT has always been know for it reliability and style. I trust ORIENT before any other watch manufacturer, not to mention… The price! Really Nice!

If someone told me about a watch with 12 4 and 8 numbers on the face and odd angles of the numbers, I would assume it was a cheaply made plastic kids watch, something I would assume to have Miley Cyrus on the front. However this watch pulls off the odd description and somehow makes it look as though it is classic design. Well done.

Nicely done – this watch has enough elegance to be worn with a suit, but is exciting enough to be worn casually.

I didn’t see this listed: what are the dimensions of this watch?
