Throughout the history of watches, there have been many different variations
that follow the line of a classic look. Now, there is a watch that combines both
a classic look with dramatic modern styling to create a masterpiece of our time.
This is the perfect watch for you if you enjoy timeless designs. The textural
surface of the dial (face of the watch) complements the features of the
sub-dials to complete a balanced look. This allows this piece to be worn in any
attire and on almost every occasion.

This watch’s strengths are the structure and functions of the watch. The case
for this particular line of watches comes in the square construction. Therefore,
the hour indicators cave inwards to give a 3 dimensional aspect.

You will notice the variety of sub-dials such as the 24-hour indicator
(located near the 10 o’clock position) and the day indicator (located near the 2
o’clock position).

This collection also comes with the date indicator (located
at the 6 o’clock position). To adjust the date indicator, you must loosen the
crown (time-setting knob) to the 1st level and rotate the knob. The date
indicator can be adjusted by turning the time hands until the date hand pivots.
Then, you must bring the hour hand back to the 12 o’clock position and rotate it
clockwise until the date hand changes. To adjust the day indicator as well as
the time hands, you must loosen the crown even further to the 2nd level and
rotate the crown.

I used to like rectangular dials. Now I’m all round.

  3. By Todd on Jul 13, 2009

Interesting offset of the sub dials. Makes it a little bit funky for what is otherwise a very low key watch. Definitely an interesting touch

  4. By Vladimir on Jul 13, 2009

Cute, interesting sub-dials. it seems to a lady’s watch, yet a little to heavy.

  5. By Frank In Miami on Jul 13, 2009

Well, I don’t see anything “feminine” about this watch. One thing is not liking dressy, tank shaped watches and quite another is labeling this one as being “girly”.

Could this one work as an “unisex” watch? Probably. Now days you see women wearing 36mm-40mm sized watches that would have raised eyebrows just 10 years ago.

This is a nice Orient. Classy and understated.

Should mention excellent post! Can’t wait to seeing the next post!

I agree with Frank in Miami. The offset subs sets it apart from other, more boring tanks. Square, uni-sex, black face and stainless band … all excellent. I’d look for a leather band to switch it up a bit too.

What is the width of this watch?

  9. By Wilson C on Jul 14, 2009

I like more of this watch if there are no subdials (24 hours indicator & day indicator) or the subdials should be smaller.

The subdials are too big for this size of the watch. They make the watch looks more crowded which doesn’t look good on my opinion.

Without a skeleton caseback and screw down crown this watch is as forgettable as any quartz Wal – Mart special. Why should this watch cost so much? It should street for less. Take it from a salesman. I own orients, and I know they make nice bracelets, but this watch needs to be less expensive. Everybody knows their cell phone keeps perfect time.

  12. By Timi Rainwater on Sep 15, 2009

I think this is a cool looking watch. It looks masculine, but it still would be great for a woman to wear casually or dress it up with bangles for work or out on the town. Love the stainless instead of gold colors!!

  13. By Timi Rainwater on Sep 15, 2009

Does this come with any other face plate colors or styles?

  14. By Eddie on Sep 15, 2009

This is a beautiful watch, I really like the configuration of the dials.

Bit too boxy for me but I love the clasp and great price.

  17. By Richard Basic on Sep 15, 2009

    Very elegant looking watch!
I like the rectangular tank look and multi dials.

  18. By Ms A . L. Warren on Sep 15, 2009

Very stylish and easy to use clasp, and also very easy for me to read the dial.

  19. By Emily Shoemaker on Sep 15, 2009

I love the look of the watch! It would be perfect for me!

Really like the rectangular dial. Matching for my father and I would be nice for his birthday. Classic piece of classic meets cutting edge tech.

  25. By sam on Sep 15, 2009

seems to me like this is a good quality watch what I have researched on it has a couple of interesting features. Not a cheap throw away 2 day watch looks like it is made to last
