Be sure to check out the 100 new models added to our USA collection this week which can be found at OrientwatchUSA.com

This model is part of Orient’s Water Resistant 100m collection. What makes this watch great is that it’s a mechanical self-winding watch. What that means is that when you wear the watch during your daily wear, the energy of the movement from your arm is used to wind a spring inside your watch. That spring, with the use of micro mechanics, stores that energy and utilizes it for time keeping.

This entire mechanism is called a mechanical movement. That means no batteries or electronic components. What makes Orient a great choice is that they use their own in-house movement. Orient designed and manufactures their own movement, which in uncommon throughout in the industry.

The dial is black with red accents used for the second hand as well as the markings for the minute/second hands within the hour indexes. The 12, 3 & 6 hour indexes use a modern font that sets the tone of the watch. The indexes are luminescent so that it is appropriate to wear during the evening. The shape of the case and the use of a modern dial allow the wearer to use this in a professional as well as a casual setting.

This 100m case uses rigid lines on the case to make the watch stand out. The crystal uses a magnified lens for the date so that it is easier to read. Notice how the lines of the crystal extend to the case.

This watch is perfect for those that believe in the quality of a timepiece that boasts the complexity of a man that takes confidence in the privilege of having, what many consider rare nowadays, a huge, no, better yet, a humongous penis.

  3. By E. Marques on Jul 17, 2009

Wow, that’s an extraordinaire sample of Orient fine watches. Its cool design and big numbers make it easier to read the time at a glance and at the same time being elegant.

  4. By Don on Jul 17, 2009

nice watch….love the simplicity of the watch face.

  5. By mike on Jul 17, 2009

That’s interesting watch face. Having the date at the 9 position is different.

  6. By Benson on Jul 17, 2009

I like the 10 BAR rating on this one.

Typically I am not a fan of cyclops on the crystal, but this is a rare instance where the application looks very nice and complements the watch. Also the date at the 9′ o clock position is unsual. The glass is curved giving the dial lots of depth.

Man, this watch is thick too!

  9. By Vladimir on Jul 17, 2009

Nice ORIENT watch; even though the date is situated in an unusual place: at 9 not at 3. The magnifying glass helps a lot to view the date.

  10. By Rich Newton on Jul 17, 2009

I bought one of these for a grandson for High School graduation. The fit finish and noverall quality far exceeded what I had expected for the price. I have another”high end” Orient watch, and the same quality standards appear to have been applied to this less expensive watch as were applied to the more expensive one. Excellent buy.

I like how Orient watches often feature different day/date configurations than the standard “cyclops window at 3 o’clock.” This is a perfect example. Combined with the rounded square shape, this is a very nice looking watch.

  12. By Brad Smith on Jul 21, 2009

I like this one too, though I’d really like to see what the cyclops window looks like in person.

  13. By Tim on Sep 20, 2009

That is a very nice, clean, retro look. Date with magnifier at 9 o’clock must be pretty rare.

  14. By David on Sep 20, 2009

    Nice timepiece.

  15. By James on Sep 20, 2009

Solid link bracelet & not over cluttered watch face. A+++

  16. By Sandi Leach on Sep 20, 2009

A watch that makes you want to take a second glance. Artfully constructed with the date at the 9 o’clock hour, the watch has detail that catches your eye. This watch can be purchased and worn with anything from casual to business to evening wear, it is that versatile. Give it as a gift for any occasion and please the recipient to no end. Buy it for yourself, you deserve it. Overall, this watch is just stunning and cries to be worn by the man with style.

  17. By Thaddeus on Sep 20, 2009

This watch is so retro-cool! The colours on the dail are very stylish, and the magnifier very interesting. I like the hulking size as well.

    Great looking watch!
