Diver watches have always been a very popular line for Orient. The CEM6500 “Mako” series has been very popular among enthusiasts and the CEM7500 series is now the new big brother. Both watches use the same day/date movement. The CEM75002D is a gorgeous looking timepiece.

The size of the case is 45mm and has a lug size of 22mm, which gives the watch a
very muscular feel. The case is water resistant up to 200m and uses a screwed

I wish it was around 50% off MSRP, but it is still a great deal considering it is a new release. Hmmm tempting…

  3. By Todd on Jul 1, 2009

This is a nice looking addition to the line, the blue would look perfect with a suit or jeans, and the day/date functionality is always welcome. Keep up the good deals

  4. By George Peck on Jul 1, 2009

Almost exactly what I wanted. I’m going to keep holding out for the old Mako…

  5. By Don on Jul 1, 2009

I can see why this watch is on the must have list of any serious collector. A beautiful timepiece.

  6. By Frank In Miami on Jul 1, 2009

This is a terrific watch and a good option if you prefer the larger 45mm case size.

However, I still prefer the Blue Mako I am wearing today. I love this watch!

  7. By Doug on Jul 1, 2009

That is one fine looking timepiece. I believe that anyone who picks this one up will be pleasantly surprised.

  8. By Dmitri on Jul 1, 2009

I’m loving the color on this watch and the whole simple design is striking! Debating whether or not I really need another watch in my collection!

  9. By Eric In Oregon on Jul 1, 2009

My wife told me that if I bought another diver I had to sleep in a tent in the back yard. Gonna have to pass on this one.

  10. By ChrisP on Jul 1, 2009

Are the old and “new” Makos ISO rated divers? I thought a lume pip on the bezel was required for an ISO rating.

  11. By rick on Jul 1, 2009

I just want to win a free watch.

  12. By Eric In Oregon on Jul 1, 2009

I’m sitting here wishing I had acted on yesterdays DOD. It was sexy!

  13. By Marc on Jul 5, 2009

    I want it.

  14. By Wilson C on Jul 5, 2009

Wearing this watch make you feel “You are the Man” especially for average guy like me because of the size (45mm) and the look of this watch.

The company make an excellent choice by replacing numerals with large luminous markers where you will be able to see more clearly the markers when you are diving.

This New Big Brother of Mako is a good looking watch with all great combination in it. The color. The Day-Date features. The Bezel. The Size(45mm). The Lug Width(22mm). An Excellent Orient Automatic Movement.

I really like this watch and I will surely recommend this watch to my friends and relatives.

I ordered this watch as soon as it popped up as the deal of the day. Glad I did! It arrived today via UPS — very well packaged. The Orient presentation box and the furniture within are both tastefully done. The watch itself is spectacular! It’s large, and it lets you know you’re wearing it, but the watch is quite comfortable on the wrist. The fit and finish are superb, particularly at the $149 deal of the day price, but I’d still be extremely pleased with the attention to detail even at MSRP. User instructions are easy to follow, and time, day, and date are easy to set. The bracelet is solid and its non-taper design is quite fitting for a watch of this size. Locking mechanism also is solid. In summary, this is a great watch at a great price.

Just received my CEM75002D and am very pleased. I have many watches and this is my first Orient. Very impressed with the price and the quality. Suggest you make this model in a 48 mm diameter in yellow, blue and black.

I really really like the look of this watch. Before I order, can anyone tell me if this watch would fit someone with a wrist circumference of slightly over 9in?

    Thanks for anyansers

  19. By RobG on Sep 2, 2009

This is the one I would buy if I had the wiggle room in the budget…great design….clean, basic, rugged, timeless.

  20. By ALLAN WEISER on Sep 2, 2009

Beautiful diver watch. I can’t stop looking at when I wear it. It look like an Omega PO

  21. By andy on Sep 2, 2009

This is a fantastic watch for the money. It feels like it is of better quality then the mako.
Anyone into watches must own this watch.

  22. By Rhonda on Sep 2, 2009

It’s a beautiful watch. In July it was $149. The orange Mako came with a winder and a tool kit. What’s up with this deal?

  23. By Brian on Sep 2, 2009

I really want this watch but you don’t ship to Canada :(

  24. By Vladimir on Sep 2, 2009

A nice ORIENT timepiece. However, I hoped ORIENT would diversify its offerings….

  25. By FernandoC on Sep 2, 2009

Ok, I like this one. The price is right but the videos are useless. It would be more useful if the videos included info about comparative quality with other diving watches from Orient. Makos are Ok but the Submariner had several quality issues…

  26. By Ben on Sep 2, 2009

    More mako for the money!

  27. By skidmark on Sep 5, 2009

Can anyone confirm that this has a blue face and blue bezel? Can’t really tell on my monitor!

    Thanks!

  28. By George on Sep 11, 2009

Wow this watch is really awesome looking. I would like to have one of these to show off to my friends

  29. By Rhonda on Oct 20, 2009

Too bad I just bought a blue Zodiac Oceanaire because I would have purchased this watch. It was just delivered for my birthday.

  30. By Paul on Oct 20, 2009

I’ve owned this watch since May and its been on my wrist almost everyday, very well made, extremely accurate time piece. This is, currently, my only Orient but I will certainly purchase more in the near future, especially the orange dial version of this model Mako.

  31. By brian on Oct 20, 2009

I absolutely love this watch. The size is a little small but not too small. Too bad they do not deliver to Canada.

  32. By John on Oct 20, 2009

This watch looks really nice. Maybe I’ll have to pull the trigger on this.

  33. By Nick on Oct 20, 2009

Sorry, Orient, but I got tired of waiting for either a really good Deal of the Day for this watch, or one of your 50%-off emails. This $175 price shouldn’t qualify as a Deal of the Day because $175 is the regular price of this watch, after applying the “Today30″ code that’s been running for weeks. See page http://www.orientwatchusa.com/watch.php?id=240
So I bought an Invicta Grand Diver Automatic #3045 for $111 instead. If this watch had been available for $125, you would have gotten my money.

That is a great clasp at this price point, well done.

  35. By Richard Castillon on Jan 25, 2010

A nice step up from the earlier Mako, would like have one anytime over my monster. Now where’s that darn wallet of mine?

I can’t help but notice the TAG influence. This is a great watch at this price point. This is on my short list.
