Nothing else new to add, other than this watch is a great introduction to the wonderful world of mechanical watches (At least it was for me). The Mako uses movement caliber 469 which is the "workhorse" of Orient and its basic design goes all the way back to the Seiko 7005 caliber family (Without the day wheel complication) from the early to mid 1970s.

So as you can see, the Mako uses a 100% rock solid, reliable, accurate and proven movement with nearly 4 decades of refinement behind it.

I am very happy with mine and since I got my Blue dial version in late April, the watch has displayed remarkable accuracy and consistency in quality that will be expected in watches costing hundreds if not thousands more.

Whether the Mako is your first or tenth Orient purchase, you will not be disappointed in the least.

Like everyone else said, great watch at the normal price, so the sale deal should be a no brainer. Excellent accuracy and quality. As is so common with Orient watches, I love the different day/date complications (on this watch with the push button at 2 o'clock).

Seriously considering buying this watch. Anyone tried this watch with a brown or black leather band? If so, how's it look? Got pictures?

I purchased this watch last week from Orient and it has met all my expectations of a wonderful time-piece. Given the price, stylish design, and quality, I must say that this watch truly is a bargain. If are considering buying your next watch or need a new wardrobe accessory, buy the Blue Mako. You won't regret it.

Just got this watch about a week ago and I couldn't be happier with it! Really looks like a watch that costs 2-3 times this price. You really can't go wrong with this watch, it is a classic design that can be worn with many different things. I love mine and you will love yours too.
