Mark Kim is the owner operator of  We’ll continue to profile him over the next few weeks and report on our recent interview.

Time to get to know more about Mark’s childhood and family life and how his father made an impact on his decision to stay in the family business of watches.

Mark told us that he grew up in Hong Kong during British rule where he acquired a pretty strong English accent.  (You wouldn’t know it today though)

However, he left with his family in 1997 due to the return of Hong Kong to China saying, “You tell a South Korean the commies are coming, and we’re out!

Can you imagine moving because of that?  We have it pretty good here in the United States.

It says on the website that your Dad was in the watch business, tell us about that.  Did you work for him?

No, I was much too young to work for my father as a child. My father was in watch assembly in Hong Kong during the 70’s and 80’s.  After college, I decided to return to the family business.  Puritime remains a family business.

Hope you enjoyed this installment of getting to know Mark.  Stay tuned for more to come!  And don’t forget to follow Mark on Twitter!
