Mother’s Day

Shopping for a gift someone can be an incredibly difficult experience, let alone shopping for your mom. Certain gifts never go out of style and unappreciated. Whether your mom is into watches or not, you can either add to her collection or re-introduce her to life before we all had cell phones and the ability to discreetly check the time in a meeting or at dinner.  With a wristwatch your mom can leave her phone in the car and get out and enjoy her mother’s day without being bothered. So whatever style your mom has and for whatever she likes to do in her free time, we have a timepiece for her.

Ms. Diver

Mother’s Day occurs right in the transition from Spring to Summer, a great time of the year to hit the beach after a long cold winter. If you mom loves the ocean, like mine does, then Ms. Diver is the watch for her. The Ms. Diver has a 200m depth rating, which is great for skin diving, surfing or snorkeling and is much more water resistant than her phone. Like any diver watch, the case features a unidirectional bezel and highly legible lumed hands and indices. A handy date complication has been added at the 3 o’clock position. Another great aspect of the Ms. Diver is that the classic diver design will transition easy from the beach to the office and back again to serve as a quick reminder that the weekend isn’t far off.

If your mom who prefers the urban city lifestyle, check out the Charlene.  This watch features classic styling that’s always up-to-date. This watch will fit in great at the office wearing business attire and it will transition great to more a casual look if she changes outfits before she meets friends for dinner.  The polished stainless steel case is a petite 31mm, so she’ll quickly forget that she’s wearing it until she needs it. With a 50m water resistance, the watch will be able to handle everything during daily wearing. The Charlene is powered by the automatic mechanical Orient in house caliber 55741 movement, which uses 3 hands for time and features the date complication. The automatic movement is perfect for a busy lifestyle because that means she’ll never have to take time out of her day to change a battery.

For a sporty option, the Combat could be the right watch.  The Combat would be great for outdoor activities such as hiking or camping or even out in the garden. The urethane band makes for a much overall lighter watch that will be easy to clean dirt and sweat off of. With a 32mm case size, the watch will be small enough to stay out of the way, but still there when she needs it. This is a watch she’ll forget she even has on. With a highly scratch resistant sapphire crystal protecting the sporty textured dial, she won’t have to baby this watch when she’s out and about outdoors, the watch will stay looking good for years to come. Importantly the Combat has a 100m water resistance, which is perfect for a casual swim and will protect the movement if she has to cross a river while camping. Orient also added a screwed down crown for additional water protection. Finally and most importantly, the Combat is powered by the automatic mechanical Orient in house caliber 55742 movement featuring the date complication, so she’ll never have to worry about a battery dying when she is out enjoying the great outdoors.
