Introducing the Orient Metro Series

October 21st, 2009 | 7 Comments

When Mike Kent from Canada suggested the name “Orient Metro Series” we knew we had a winner for our Name That Watch contest. After sending Mike his new Metro, we asked him to send us some photos. In addition to providing pictures, Mike explained a little about his current collection and what watches he is looking forward to owning.

“My first Orient watch was the “Mako” diver with black dial. I read all
about it on watch forums and it lives up to the hype. Then, I bought the blue
version. This new Orient watch I won fits perfectly into my collection. I
like the styling; It’s a versatile watch— good for casual or dress occasions.
The finish is great and I love this automatic movement. My next Orient watch will be the Power Reserve Multi Eyes with Orange Bezel or something from the OrientStar Retro series. Thanks for a great watch, Orient.”

My proposed name-Chromatic was better. JUST KIDDING. Congratulations to Mike and Orient for naming a great looking watch. I have this watch on my list to buy when I am able to. It can keep company with my other Orient watches.

I like the white dial with the brown leather band. It would be appropriate for the office, and it would look good with khaki trousers. It’s a nice cross between a conservative/dressy watch and modern/stylish design.

The red dial and black strap looks great. I would like to get my hands on one but not so easy to find here.
