In Review: Orient CFA05002B Journeyman

A favorite watch among Orient fans, the CFA05002B Journeyman world time watch truly takes the cake.

Orient caliber 46K40 automatic movement, sapphire crystal, exhibition case back, carbon fiber, the list of excellent features goes on.

But you don’t have to take our word for it… Check out this 5-star rated customer review.

“Hi there, I have purchased this watch directly from Orient, and I very highly recommend it.

“Okay, so after a lot of research I decided to give Orient a try. This is my second one. They are both very accurate right out of the box, especially the world time (+2 sec. per day). Orient watches are fully designed by Orient. That includes the movement as well as the the style, which is more than Omega, Breitling, and Tag can say, who outsource their movements from ETA and other companies. To me, that means Orient takes pride and stands behind the quality of their products.

“The weight of the World time is perfect, heavy enough to feel the quality within but not bothersome in any way. The case is very well balanced with the bracelet, and it’s not as big as the Planet Orient. It’s just right. The sapphire on the front and back means it will pretty much never get scratched. The lume is good, and it’s visible when I wake at 5 a.m. without having charged it at all – just regular wear.

“This watch is very, very efficient in the winding department. Shake once from left to right, and you get about 3-4 minutes, which is plenty to set it then pop it on. Even if you just wear it for 1-2 hours, that’s more than plenty to keep it fully wound all the time. I own an Invicta 9937 with an ETA 2824-2 and as smooth and accurate as that movement is, its one downfall is the winding, which is not even close to my Orients (which are also smooth and accurate:)).

“The look/style of the world time is very nice. It’s also got some very slick brushed and polished areas on the case as well as the bracelet. The dial is “blingy” but not in an annoying way. It has class and could easily be worn with very nice suits as well as out for a night with the fellas. I have been told It looks like a $1000 watch, which makes sense because it feels and behaves like a $1000 watch.

“I really like watches, and for that reason I could very well justify spending $2000 on a watch, but I cannot bring myself to do it with values like this around. I just can’t.”
