ETA is one thing, but the Patek Philippe Caliber 215PS in my Calatrava is probably less simple than the Orient movement, but I think it is far superior than either the Orient or ETA movement. A bit more expensive than either though. I wouldn’t let these guys in the videos take it apart, that’s for sure.

I have an Orient Watch and i like it very much. However, the date mechanism stopped moving and it looses time even after correcting. I don’t know what the problem is and i am afraid of taking to the local watch repair guys. Is there any way i can be advised or assisted to have the problem rectified.Does Orient watch company have a repair or maintenance unit in Nairobi, Kenya,?

Within its experience, the Swiss can claim to have invented the first quartz watch, the first water resistant wristwatch, the thinnest wristwatch in the world, the first wristwatch, and the smallest and most expensive watch in the world.

However, with the technological innovation in Japan, it would not be a surprise if they could create better movement than the institution. who would know right?

btw… THE school should be of of those is Switzerland where you become Master in horlogy… not started teaching 20 years ago, c’mon.

I am sorry but I must whole heartedly … agree. I have two very nice very popular Swiss made watches, one with the greatest innovation in watch making in the last hundred years. And I have an Orient #2ER00002D, it is within one second every week and my other two gain five and seven seconds each per week.
I like them all equally but the cost and accuracy of the Orient compared to the other watches means it is a better value.
