The best automatic watches in life aren’t free, but there are some that won’t break the bank either.

In this article, we’ll look at some classy, quality and affordable watches from some of the bestselling watch brands.

Invicta Men’s Pro Diver 9094

Invicta’s Pro Diver Collection includes diver watches for men and women with automatic or quartz movement. Though they are divers, the watches maintain a simple, clean design and meet all of the basic requirements of any good diver watch.

Check out some of the features:
  • Diver’s 200m water resistance
  • Stainless steel case and band
  • Anti-reflective mineral crystal
  • Skeleton case back
  • Excellent lume
  • Unidirectional rotating bezel
  • $315 price tag (find it on Amazon for <$100)

This watch is a great choice for someone who spends a lot of time in or near water (not just diving!). The blue dial and bezel are signature to the Invicta Diver, but you can also find the watch in black, which presents a more basic look, white, silver and even purple.

Seiko Superior World Timer

The Superior World Timer from Seiko is full of intricate and unusual layers that really make this watch stand out. The World Timer’s army green, waffle-like dial adds an interesting level to the watch design. This texture is offset by the solid hour increments and hands.

Let’s look at the other details of this watch:
  • 100m water resistance
  • Stainless steel case, genuine leather band
  • Sapphire crystal
  • World clock
  • Skeleton case back
  • ~$299 price tag

This watch is ideal for someone who travels a lot or just enjoys having a world clock on hand at all times.

Orient CEX0P003W

The Orient CEX0P003W is part of the Power Reserve series. This watch combines contemporary and classic watch design. With its quiet, white dial and silver numerals, the CEX0P003W is subtle and refreshing in comparison to more gadget-y watches like the Pro Diver or World Timer.

Take a look at some of the features:
  • 40 hr Power Reserve indicator
  • In-house movement
  • Stainless steel case, genuine leather band
  • Tachymeter scale
  • $225 price tag

This watch is slimming, avoiding clutter and flowery details (wouldn’t your English teacher be proud?). And if white is too quiet for you, be sure to look at the black and navy CEX0P00 watches that suggest a bolder take on the design.

Don’t forget to check out an Orient watch review to learn more about the inner workings of these unique automatics.

Stuehrling “Cuvette”

Similar to the CEX0P003W, the “Cuvette” design is very slim for an automatic watch. This feature may be desirable to people who don’t like wearing a bulky, heavy watch. Stuehrling aims to continue the Swiss watchmaking legend while creating simple, straightforward timepieces with an edge. The “Cuvette” exemplifies this in an interesting way.

Here are some details:
  • Stainless steel case, genuine leather band
  • Sapphire crystal
  • Seconds eye
  • ~$150 price tag on Amazon

Like the Seiko World Timer, the “Cuvette” has an interesting textured dial reminiscent of a fingerprint. This watch or the CEX0P003W would make a great choice for someone who likes the lightweight and slim quartz watch but prefers a traditional automatic movement.

i don’t know about invicta due to this brand very unfamiliar in Indonesia, but i think orient has the best value. Orient is automatic wristwatch and don’t require replacing anything for it’s power (we all know about self winding). and the important is we also get the power reserve indicator. this technology is one of a kind. even comparing to Seiko kinetic, it’s still need replacing capacitor for period.

    so.. can i get a Orient WZ0391FD for Free… he he ;)

After researching Orient and having a friend recommend the watches I pulled the trigger and purchased my first timepiece, an Orient Defender. What struck me with this watch is like my Submariner the Orient watch has an inhouse produced movement. Which is rare among watches produced today. Before Orient I thought only Rolex had this honor. So for value and quality, well I think Orient takes the cake in this grouping.
