Funky Watch Alert – UniformWares

March 1st, 2012 | 2 Comments

Unlike some funky watches that feature mind-bending optical illusions, others obtain funky status by what they don’t feature. Check out UniformWares, a brand that is all about contemporary and simple style. Established in 2009 this British watch brand was founded by Patrick Bek and Oliver Fowles.

The movements of their watches are from Japanese and Swiss manufacturers but every other aspect of design is created in their London office. According to their website their wristwatches are “intended for everyday use by individuals with an eye for meticulous detailing and a passion for diligent, modern design.”

One of the most unique aspects of their watches is that none of them have a UniformWares logo on the dial. The watches are so clean cut and focused on contemporary aesthetics that a logo would only distract from the design. For example their 250 series clean dials. UniformWares achieves funky status by doing something few other brands are doing – dedication to a uniquely simple and consistently contemporary style.
