Hello,
I have a vintage Orient quartz sports diver, model number on case back is D39748-90 CA
The watch is sporadic as it runs and stops for no apparent reason.
I recently got this watch and service history in unknown to me.
The local watch dealer tried replacing the battery but did not help. He said that the "there is no electronic pulse in the movement" He said that there was probably a short in the movement, but offered no help beyond that.
Does the Orient Service Center work on vintage watches? If not, do you have any suggestions for me please.
The watch looks great and I am interested in getting this corrected if possible.
Thanks for any help with this.
Regards,
Daniel

If possible also post a pic of the movement itself. It may have some numbers on it too.

Ok here is the deal. Consider this unless the watch has some special meaning to you. By the time you ship the watch and we replace the movement, service the case ect it is going to cost you $50 bucks or so and you will still have a quartz watch with millage on the strap and case. We have some watches in stock that are returns from Amazon. They are new and carry full warranty, I have gone over them and they check out 100% so my offer to you is just for a few dollars more you can have a fully automatic watch that is 200M WR and just a better watch
Your pick on color Black, Blue pepsi or Orange.
$85 and we will ship it to you, just let me know and I will give you the pay pal address.
I will also be happy to redo your quartz watch just send it to the service address on this site and I will get to work on it. My suggestion is move up to the mechanical watch and become addicted like the rest of us..
Your call

can not find my pictures of the orange but I know someone will help out here..

Hi Gary,
I hope you are well and everything is OK. Getting concerned for ya, but hopefully you are on an extended vacation
Just was wanting to touch base with you on the Orange Quartz Orient watch and when you will be able to send it back to me.
Very pleased that you checked it out and by changing the battery, all works fine now.
Please let me know my friend.
