Football Fever, Part II

September 12th, 2012 | 13 Comments

We flat out love football. Check out part 1 here.

What a weekend it was for football this past week. The Niners beat Green Bay, RG3 is too legit, and even though they won (barely), Philly has yet to live up to their hype. This week we want to introduce our Rally model (CFT0000), worn by one of our all-time favorite players, Adrian Peterson.

The first thing you’ll probably notice on the Rally is the semi-skeleton feature. In a semi-skeleton watch, you really can’t hide anything. We love this because it shows off our robust movement from the front AND the back (via an exhibition case back). A lot of people love to be able to see the balance wheel move; it’s kind of like watching a heart beating. Through the clear case back you’ll find a very nicely dressed movement.

The Rally has a great sized case – 43.7mm, and that’s without the crown. This is really a man’s watch (which is probably why AP picked it up). The bracelet is as comfortable as it is solid. The bracelet has a nice contrast of polished and brushed stainless steel, which gives it an adequate gleam.

Durability is something we pride ourselves on and we were happy to throw a sapphire crystal into the Rally. Sapphire crystal is a scratch and wear resistant crystal. Without scratches and dings, your watch will keep looking brand new.

The power reserve indicator is a nifty feature for the wearer because it tells them how much the watch has got left in the tank, and in the Rally’s case, literally. The racing aesthetic was really well translated on the dial and within the features of the watch. We had some fun with the power reserve labeling on the dial and it will read “Empty”, “¼”, all the way until “Full”. We know AP has a lot more in his tank, and we look forward to watching him tear through Indy this Sunday!

I would love to have the Rally on my wrist. The build quality seems amazing, with its solid end links in the bracelet and sapphire crystal. The power reserve is a really cool feature that I wish more watches had. It’s good to know how much longer the watch will run before it stops. Keep making great timepieces!

A man’s watch is more just an accessory. It’s a statement. An expression. A symbol. In some ways it’s a measure of the man.
And when a man where’s a timepiece as sophisticated, well designed and immeasurably stunning as an Orient; then the world knows immediately that they are dealing with a gentlemen that knows quality. And understands value. And is as reliable as the engine that powers his wrist worn “accessory”.

I love watches that give a look at the movement, it does distract me when I need to look up the time though…. but is is just so hypnotic. I would love to have a watch like that!

I’d love to win a new watch especially a orient Rally built to last watch. I know it looks professional, clean, and sporty. I believe it helps to distinguish the man and how he tells time. If I was given one Id very much be supper happy.

Fantastic looking time piece. Would love to add this to my 3-piece suit. Man on a mission always needs to be on time. With a watch of this caliber, I will never be late, always the man of the hour.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no cure for football fever. It seems that once you get the fever you cannot get it to break.
I would love to surprize my son with this watch!
