Featured Executive: Anniversary

May 22nd, 2012 Posted in Orient Watch Reviews | 2 Comments

Orient’s EM7F001B Anniversary, as it’s rightfully called, represents a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Orient Caliber 469 mechanical movement, and is a limited edition watch with only 1,000 pieces produced, each engraved with a serial number and 40th anniversary logo.

What else is great about this one-of-a-kind featured executive watch?

In addition to its high-quality, in-house Orient Caliber 469 mechanical movement, the EM7F001B also features:

  • 40-hour power reserve
  • Stainless steel case and band with IP coating for a matte black finish (the EM7F002B features classic stainless steel, if that’s more your style)
  • 200m water resistance for recreational diving and other water sports
  • Day and date calendar
  • 45mm case diameter and 13.6mm thickness

The large case has been compared to Orient’s King Diver, which was popular in the ’70s. But this updated take on a classic Orient offers a very contemporary look that is wearable, whether with casual or business attire.

What are people saying about the EM7F001B?

The Orient EM7F001B Anniversary has been widely acclaimed since its release during Fall 2011. Here’s what some happy customers had to say.

“This is a beautiful watch! This is my first Orient watch and I am highly impressed. The quality is on par with swiss made watches; but you cannot deny the price. Orient watches are a great buy.”

“Fantastic watch. Can’t wait for the next anniversary watch.”

“I really like the big case look. 45mm is big…and it does get some compliments.”

Wow. That is one hot chronometer. I love the bezel — the granularity of the coin-edge, the outer and inner angles, and the font. And the ion plating. And the size. And the prominent Orient logo. And are those screw-down buttons? For that price? I think this ties with my other favorite Orient model, the previous Anniversary (60th). Which I also missed because it wasn’t in the budget. -sigh-
