Education – Monopusher

April 2nd, 2012 | 3 Comments

We have written about chronographs before but there are several varieties. A monopusher chronograph a very specific kind of watch. It has a push a button and allows the wearer to use it as a stopwatch. With a normal chronograph, you have to push another button to stop the chronograph hand, and to reset it to the “0″ position.

Mechanically, a monopusher chronograph is more complicated. With only one button its functionality, starts, stops, and resets the stopwatch feature. These watches are rare and are often distinguishable by the side of the watch where the one pusher is located. Since they are so rare they are more expensive.
