I’m also a novice at watches, just starting to get a feel of what I like…But guess what? My first watch, which I bought just a few hours ago (after months and months of research), was a Black Mako! And looking at the pictures you took makes me want another Mako…A yellow one of course! Fabulous pics!! I really appreciate the fact that Orient watches allow me to enjoy “quality” watches without spending a fortune. The construction and finish on my new watch is just stunning! I have no doubt that Orient watches were what lured me into the fantastic world of watches. Thanks for sharing your photo wit us!! And thanks Orient, for the wonderful watches!!

What a great photo. I’m a novice watch enthusiast that just started looking to build a small collection in the last year or so. I still know comparatively little about watches, but I’m learning fast and it hasn’t taken long for me to fall in love with Orient watches. I recently bought a vintage Orient WD as my first Orient, but I’m hoping to add to that very soon. I am learning how to take photos of my watches and it’s great to see something like this and work out how it was done to add to my learning. Thanks for sharing your great photo.

I have seen one of these and I like it better than the yellow Orient Star.
The one they call the revolver…

And this Orient is about 500 dollars less..

Hi,
I’ve been looking for a watch with the right yellow dial. Now, I have found it! Thanks for this review and the wonderfully taken pictures.
While there are not many watches with yellow dial, this Yellow Mako offered by Orient is indeed appealing to the eyes. More importantly, it’s attractive to the point of causing one to want to have a second look, as the yellow colour is not too glaring and striking.
Now I understand why there is so much good feedback on the Mako. It has such a good range of colors to match any dressing and occasion!

Just ordered the Orient YELLOW CEM65001Y. I’ve been looking for a classy automatic 200m water resistant watch since July 2009. I’ve read all the reviews and comparisons with Invicta, Seiko, Croton, etc. and this Orient is by far the best looking, best value for the money. Can’t wait to put it on.

This is a great side view of a beautiful and handsome watch. I am partially handicapped and have to do certain excercises and meds each day. However, due to some of the meds I forget to look at my watch. I feel that this color is a color that will knock your memory back into place and get you on the right track again. No forgetting. Just admiring at a wonderful piece of Art. It’s job as a watch, is to cause you to glance at it often just to make you smile

Thanks for taking notice of my shot. I love the colors on this watch too. My husband has also been collecting vintage Orient’s lately, but he now seen the “New Mako” and I’m sure that it will be finding a home in his collection too. We are both impressed in the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that Orient watches encompass.
