If you’re interested in Orient’s Power Reserve series, you’ve come to the right place. Orient’s Power Reserves offer a variety of automatic mechanical watches from semi-skeleton, world time designs to simple, clean styles for work or play.

In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the CFH01001B:

What’s good about the CFH01001B?

The CFH01001B is an elegant watch in Orient’s Power Reserve series. For having many features on its dial, it remains a quiet, subtle watch that can be worn formally or casually.

The CFH01001B’s skeleton case back and semi-skeleton dial are special features that aren’t found on all Orient automatics. These features allow you to see the watch’s movement, which many wearers have said can be an entrancing and welcomed distraction from a busy day.

This watch uses silver numerals and increments against a black, textured dial, so the contrast is softer than if the increments were displayed in white. In addition, the hour markers are pointed (almost like arrowheads) for easier readability.

The dial also includes a separate seconds eye at 6 o’clock as well as the Power Reserve indicator at 12 o’clock.

If you’re seeking an even subtler watch face, be sure to check out the CFH0100 in white.

What are the other features on the CFH01001B?

In addition to the above mentioned, the CFH01001B automatic mechanical also offers these important watch features:

In-house movement: as on all Orient Watches, the CFH01001B has a fully in-house, Orient Japan movement.

40-hour Power Reserve and indicator: allows your watch to continue running for up to 40 hours unworn; the indicator lets you know when the 40 hours are almost up.

Stainless steel case and band: protects your watch from shock, dents and corrosives.

50m water resistance: safe for spills, splashes or shallow swimming; however, don’t shower while wearing your watch as soap/shampoo can cause internal watch damage and corrosion.

Nice looking design from Orient. I believe that the movement should be a bit more showy for an exhibition back and if the water resistance were 100M, it would be a huge seller.

I like the power reserve feature on this watch- having a number of mechanical watches it’s nice to know when one is getting close to needing to be wound. I just picked up a Midnight Blue Mako and was amazed with the quality. I’m very happy with my new Orient- my other favorite watch is my GMT Master II.

I agree that this is a great design and a good value for the price point.
