The Orient CDB05001W is a semi-skeleton automatic, or self winding mechanical, watch with an in-house 21 jewel automatic movement. This watch also features Orient’s in-house automatic movement, which is powered by the motion of its wearer. So no need for batteries. This watch’s power reserve is approximately 40 hours.

The sapphire crystal of this timepiece is one of the stand-out features of this watch, since sapphire crystal is the most scratch-resistant.

The CDB05001W also has another great, yet functional detail: the hour and second markers along the inner and outer portions, respectively.

The screw-down caseback, which also has a window for viewing, is made of solid stainless steel. Through the window, you can see the rotor as it spins and winds the watch.

The fold-over push button clasp helps to prevent the watch from coming off unintentionally, while still remaining easy to take off when you’re ready.

The band for this model is comprised of both finished and matte links to give it
a three dimensional look.

    A classy looking watch without being boring at all. The pattern on the dial looks interesting and probably changes by viewing angle. I personally am a fan of the hands being ‘creased’ along the middle.
